Core i5-760 vs Xeon W3520 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-760 is faster than the Xeon W3520. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W3520 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-760 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W3520. Also, the Core i5-760 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-760 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W3520 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-760 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
