Core i5-760 vs Core i3-1115G4 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1115G4 performs better than the Core i5-760. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-760 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-760 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core i3-1115G4 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-1115G4 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-760. Also, the Core i3-1115G4 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1115G4 outputs less heat than Core i5-760 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1115G4 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-760. Despite this, the Core i5-760 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-1115G4.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-760 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
