Core i5-760 vs A8-7600 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-760 performs better than the A8-7600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7600 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-760 has significantly more cores than the A8-7600. Indeed, the Core i5-760 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A8-7600. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-7600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-760. Also, the A8-7600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The A8-7600 outputs less heat than Core i5-760 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A8-7600 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-760

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-760 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
