Core i5-760 vs A10-6800K benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-6800K is faster than the Core i5-760. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-760 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-760 has significantly more cores than the A10-6800K. Indeed, the Core i5-760 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A10-6800K. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the A10-6800K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-760. Also, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-760 CPU outputs less heat than a A10-6800K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A10-6800K has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-760
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-760 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
