Core i5-7500T vs Xeon W-2125 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W-2125 is faster than the Core i5-7500T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7500T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Xeon W-2125 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2125 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-7500T. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-7500T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2125 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
