Core i5-7500T vs FX-6300 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-7500T is faster than the FX-6300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-6300 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-7500T has slightly more cores than the FX-6300. Indeed, the Core i5-7500T has 4 cores compared to 3 cores found in the FX-6300. Despite this, the FX-6300 has more threads than the Core i5-7500T. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-6300 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-7500T. The info from our database shows that the FX-6300 has more L2 cache than the Core i5-7500T. The FX-6300 also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
