Core i5-7500T vs Custom 0405 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Custom 0405 is faster than the Core i5-7500T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7500T in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Custom 0405 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Custom 0405 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-7500T. In terms of cache, the Custom 0405 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-7500T. Despite this, the Core i5-7500T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Custom 0405.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
