Core i5-7500 vs Xeon E5-2643 v2 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2643 v2 is faster than the Core i5-7500. Despite this, the Core i5-7500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon E5-2643 v2 has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-7500 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-7500. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2643 v2 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-7500. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i5-7500 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2643 v2 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
