Core i5-750 vs Ryzen 7 5800X3D benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is faster than the Core i5-750. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-750 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-750 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-750. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-750. Also, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-750 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-750 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
