Core i5-7400T vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE beats the Core i5-7400T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7400T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-7400T. Also, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has more L2 cache than the Core i5-7400T. Despite this, the Core i5-7400T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-7400T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
