Core i5-7400T vs FX-9590 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-9590 is faster than the Core i5-7400T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7400T in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the FX-9590 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-9590 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-7400T. A Core i5-7400T CPU outputs less heat than a FX-9590 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the FX-9590 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-7400T. The FX-9590 also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7400T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
