Core i5-7300HQ vs Core i3-10100F benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-10100F is faster than the Core i5-7300HQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7300HQ in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i3-10100F has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-10100F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-7300HQ. Also, the Core i3-10100F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-7300HQ CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-10100F CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7300HQ has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
