Core i5-6600K vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE performs better than the Core i5-6600K. Despite this, the Core i5-6600K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-6600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. The Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE outputs less heat than Core i5-6600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-6600K. Despite this, the Core i5-6600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-6600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
