Core i5-6600K vs Pentium G4560 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-6600K is faster than the Pentium G4560. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G4560 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-6600K has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium G4560 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. In terms of clock speed, the Core i5-6600K and Pentium G4560 are identical in this regard. The Pentium G4560 outputs less heat than Core i5-6600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-6600K has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium G4560. The Core i5-6600K also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-6600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
