Core i5-6600K vs Core i7-4770 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-4770 beats the Core i5-6600K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-6600K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-4770 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-6600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-4770. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The Core i7-4770 outputs less heat than Core i5-6600K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-4770 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-6600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
