Core i5-6600K vs Core i5-13500H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13500H is faster than the Core i5-6600K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-6600K in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-13500H has significantly more cores than the Core i5-6600K. Indeed, the Core i5-13500H has 12 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i5-6600K. It also has more threads than the Core i5-6600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-6600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-13500H. Despite this, the Core i5-13500H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-13500H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-6600K. The Core i5-13500H also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-6600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
