Core i5-6600 vs Xeon W-2123 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W-2123 beats the Core i5-6600 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-6600 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon W-2123 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2123 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-6600. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i5-6600 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2123 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-6600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
