Core i5-6600 vs Core i5-13450HX benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13450HX performs better than the Core i5-6600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-6600 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13450HX has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i5-6600 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-6600. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-6600 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-13450HX. Despite this, the Core i5-13450HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-13450HX has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-6600. The Core i5-13450HX also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-6600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
