Core i5-6500T vs Xeon E5-520 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-6500T beats the Xeon E5-520 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-520 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-6500T has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-520. Also, the Core i5-6500T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-6500T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-520 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-6500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
