Core i5-6500 vs Xeon E5-2690 v2 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2690 v2 beats the Core i5-6500 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-6500 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon E5-2690 v2 has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Core i5-6500 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-6500. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-6500 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2690 v2.
