Core i5-6300U vs 3020e comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-6300U beats the 3020e in overall performance. Despite this, the 3020e has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i5-6300U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-6300U has a significantly higher clock speed than the 3020e. Also, the Core i5-6300U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The 3020e outputs less heat than Core i5-6300U thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-6300U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
