Core i5-4690K vs Core i9-13900KF benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-13900KF performs better than the Core i5-4690K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-4690K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-13900KF has significantly more cores with 24 cores whereas the Core i5-4690K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-4690K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-4690K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-13900KF has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-4690K CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-13900KF CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-4690K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
