Core i5-4670K vs Xeon E5-2650 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2650 beats the Core i5-4670K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-4670K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-4670K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-4670K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-4670K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2650. Also, the Core i5-4670K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-4670K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2650 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-4670K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
