Core i5-4670K vs Pentium Gold G7400 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-4670K beats the Pentium Gold G7400 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium Gold G7400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-4670K has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium Gold G7400 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium Gold G7400 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-4670K. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Pentium Gold G7400 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-4670K. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-4670K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
