Core i5-4670K vs Core i7-4800MQ specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-4800MQ performs better than the Core i5-4670K. Despite this, the Core i5-4670K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-4800MQ has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-4670K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-4800MQ. Also, the Core i5-4670K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-4800MQ outputs less heat than Core i5-4670K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-4670K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
