Core i5-4670 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U beats the Core i5-4670 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-4670 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-4670 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U. Also, the Core i5-4670 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U outputs less heat than Core i5-4670 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-4670 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
