Core i5-4460 vs Core m3-6Y30 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-4460 is faster than the Core m3-6Y30. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core m3-6Y30 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-4460 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core m3-6Y30 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-4460 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core m3-6Y30. Also, the Core i5-4460 has a significantly higher turbo speed. The Core m3-6Y30 outputs less heat than Core i5-4460 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i5-4460 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core m3-6Y30. The Core i5-4460 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-4460 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
