Core i5-4440 vs Xeon E5-2643 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2643 beats the Core i5-4440 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-4440 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon E5-2643 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2643 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-4440. Also, the Xeon E5-2643 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-4440 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2643 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-4440 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
