Core i5-4300U vs A10-9600P specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-9600P is faster than the Core i5-4300U. Despite this, the Core i5-4300U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the A10-9600P has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i5-4300U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-4300U has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A10-9600P. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A10-9600P has more L2 cache than the Core i5-4300U
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-4300U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
