Core i5-4210U vs Pentium E5800 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-4210U beats the Pentium E5800 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium E5800 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-4210U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium E5800 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-4210U. A Core i5-4210U CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium E5800 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-4210U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
