Core i5-3570K vs Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U beats the Core i5-3570K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-3570K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-3570K that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-3570K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-3570K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U outputs less heat than Core i5-3570K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-3570K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
