Core i5-3570 vs Athlon X4 760K benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-3570 beats the Athlon X4 760K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Athlon X4 760K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-3570 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon X4 760K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Athlon X4 760K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-3570.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-3570 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
