Core i5-3470 vs Phenom II X6 1055T comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-3470 is faster than the Phenom II X6 1055T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1055T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Phenom II X6 1055T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-3470 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-3470. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-3470 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1055T.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-3470 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
