Core i5-3350P vs Xeon X5687 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5687 is faster than the Core i5-3350P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-3350P in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5687 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-3350P. Also, the Xeon X5687 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-3350P CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5687 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Xeon X5687 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-3350P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
