Core i5-3350P vs Phenom II X6 1045T specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Phenom II X6 1045T performs better than the Core i5-3350P. Despite this, the Core i5-3350P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Phenom II X6 1045T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-3350P that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-3350P. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-3350P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1045T. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Phenom II X6 1045T has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-3350P. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-3350P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
