Core i5-3340M vs FX-770K benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-770K is faster than the Core i5-3340M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-3340M in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-770K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-3340M. Also, the FX-770K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-3340M CPU outputs less heat than a FX-770K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-3340M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
