Core i5-3330 vs Xeon E5-520 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-520 is faster than the Core i5-3330. Despite this, the Core i5-3330 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-3330 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-520. Also, the Core i5-3330 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-3330 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-520 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-3330 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
