Core i5-3330 vs Celeron G6900 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-3330 beats the Celeron G6900 in overall performance. Despite this, the Celeron G6900 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-3330 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron G6900 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron G6900. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron G6900 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-3330. The Celeron G6900 outputs less heat than Core i5-3330 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-3330 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
