Core i5-3320M vs Celeron G3920 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-3320M is faster than the Celeron G3920. Despite this, the Celeron G3920 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-3320M has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron G3920 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-3320M. A Core i5-3320M CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G3920 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Celeron G3920 has more L2 cache than the Core i5-3320M. The Celeron G3920 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-3320M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
