Core i5-13500HX vs Ryzen AI 9 365 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen AI 9 365 performs better than the Core i5-13500HX. Despite this, the Core i5-13500HX has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-13500HX has slightly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen AI 9 365 that has 10 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13500HX has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen AI 9 365. Despite this, the Ryzen AI 9 365 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13500HX has more L2 cache than the Ryzen AI 9 365. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-13500HX has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
