Core i5-13500H vs Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme is faster than the Core i5-13500H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-13500H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13500H has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-13500H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. Despite this, the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13500H has more L2 cache than the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. The Core i5-13500H also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-13500H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
