Core i5-13500 vs Core i7-14700HX specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-14700HX performs better than the Core i5-13500. Despite this, the Core i5-13500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-14700HX has many more cores with 20 cores compared to the Core i5-13500 that has 14 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-13500. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13500 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-14700HX.
