Core i5-1345U vs Core i7-1370P benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1370P beats the Core i5-1345U in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-1345U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1370P has slightly more cores than the Core i5-1345U. Indeed, the Core i7-1370P has 14 cores compared to 10 cores found in the Core i5-1345U. It also has more threads than the Core i5-1345U. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-1370P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1345U. Also, the Core i7-1370P has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1370P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-1345U. The Core i7-1370P also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-1345U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
