Core i5-13420H vs Core i5-1334U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-1334U performs better than the Core i5-13420H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-13420H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-1334U has slightly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Core i5-13420H that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13420H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1334U. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-13420H has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i5-1334U. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-13420H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
