Core i5-12450H vs PRO A8-8670E benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12450H is faster than the PRO A8-8670E. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the PRO A8-8670E in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12450H has significantly more cores than the PRO A8-8670E. Indeed, the Core i5-12450H has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the PRO A8-8670E. It also has more threads than the PRO A8-8670E. With our hardware info, we find that the PRO A8-8670E has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12450H. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-12450H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
