Core i5-1240P vs Ryzen 7 7435HS comparison

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 7435HS beats the Core i5-1240P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-1240P in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1240P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 7435HS has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7435HS has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1240P. Also, the Ryzen 7 7435HS has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-1240P CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 7435HS CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-1240P has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 7435HS. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 7435HS has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-1240P.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-1240P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
