Core i5-12400F vs Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-12400F performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12400F. Despite this, the Core i5-12400F has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-12400F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
