Core i5-12400 vs EPYC 74F3 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the EPYC 74F3 performs better than the Core i5-12400. Despite this, the Core i5-12400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the EPYC 74F3 has significantly more cores with 9 cores whereas the Core i5-12400 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-12400. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the EPYC 74F3 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-12400. A Core i5-12400 CPU outputs less heat than a EPYC 74F3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
