Core i5-11600 vs Core i7-9700KF specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700KF performs better than the Core i5-11600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11600 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700KF has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-11600 has 6 cores. Despite this, the Core i5-11600 has more threads than the Core i7-9700KF. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-11600. Also, the Core i7-9700KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11600 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-9700KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-11600 has more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700KF. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-11600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
