Core i5-11600 vs Core i7-10700KF specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10700KF is faster than the Core i5-11600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11600 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-10700KF has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-11600 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11600. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-10700KF has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-11600. Also, the Core i7-10700KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11600 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-10700KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-11600 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-10700KF. Despite this, the Core i7-10700KF has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-11600.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-11600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
